So it begins...

It all began when I gave a presentation on how exercise helps strengthen the brain against dementia caused by aging. One of the audience members told me later that I need to make exercise fun in order to motivate people to do it.

Then a friend shared with me a You Tube instructional video of Travis Payne, Michael Jackson's choreographer, on a routine called "The Drill".

The purpose was to get people to learn the routine and then come to promotional late night events for the release of the DVD "This is It". I then saw the videos of people from all over the country coming together and having a good time.

As I watched the instructional video I realized that I could design similar short aerobic routines that I could insert into the workout programs for my clients. The precision and coordination with the music would be perfect for working out both the body and the brain. Best of all, it would be fun.

However, I'm going to have to get into shape to design the routines. Therefore, I'm going to use Michael Jackson's music to design a workout program for myself.

The goal is to do a 45 to 50 minute choreographed routine of MJ's music one year from today.

To start I trolled YouTube and put together a playlist of performances of the songs I'll be using as source material.
